Susan First Bio
Susan First, MSW, LCSW is a psychotherapist with many years of clinical experience in schools, hospitals, agencies and private practice settings. She completed an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and a Masters in Social Work from Rutgers University. She has extensive training in a variety of modalities, including a postgraduate degree in family and couples therapy from the Ackerman Institute and, most recently, a certification from a year-long program in Psychobiological Attachment Training.
With insight and compassion, Ms. First uses an integrative approach to help children, adolescents and adult clients develop strategies to help manage anxiety and depression symptoms, school avoidance, parenting and family struggles, blended family issues and other life stressors.
